This session, at RecBuzz 2026, focussed on what a modern and global recruitment platform might look like. Hosted by Pawel Moszynski and Radek Iwanczuk from Pracuj.pl, they opened with the line “We have to stay a little bit boring. A little bit, but you know, we are in money.”
It was a reminder that, for all the talk of transformation, this is still a commercial business. Revenue matters. Efficiency matters. And ultimately, everything has to tie back to value for both customers and the company.
The Shift Isn’t Just Product – It’s the Whole Model
Pracuj.pl isn’t thinking about itself as a job board anymore.
Over the years, they’ve built out a broader ecosystem: multiple job boards across markets, a major ATS, niche platforms, and adjacent tools. What they’re moving towards is something more integrated; what they describe as a modern employment platform.
A job board lists opportunities. A platform connects, supports, and increasingly owns more of the hiring journey end to end.
That shift isn’t driven by a single feature or product launch. It’s structural. While many companies are focusing on visible AI features, Pracuj.pl’s approach is quieter, and just as important.
They’ve been investing in data, algorithms, and infrastructure for years. Long before AI became the headline topic, they were building the foundations that now allow them to embed it across their business.
The emphasis isn’t on chat interfaces or surface-level improvements. It’s on what sits underneath: how jobs are matched, how search works, how pricing is set, how distribution happens. In other words, AI isn’t something they’ve added. It’s something that now runs through everything.
Matching Is the Heart of It All
If there’s one idea that came through clearly, it’s that matching remains the core of the entire model.
No matter how the interface evolves, whether it’s search, recommendations, or something more conversational, the fundamental challenge is the same: connecting the right candidate to the right job as efficiently as possible.
A significant proportion of job discovery on their platform already comes from recommendations rather than traditional search. That shift alone says a lot about where things are heading. The goal isn’t to show more options. It’s to show better ones.
Changing How People Experience Job Search
What’s happening on the surface reflects this deeper shift.
The experience is becoming faster, more intuitive, and more aligned with how people behave in other digital environments. Applications are simplified. Mobile is central. Discovery feels less like searching and more like being guided.
There’s a clear influence from consumer platforms – feeds, recommendations, even formats that feel closer to social media than traditional job listings.
But this isn’t just about copying UX trends. It’s about meeting users where they already are, and reducing the effort required to engage.
One of the advantages Pracuj.pl has built is control over a large part of the recruitment process within its own ecosystem.
When more of the journey happens inside one platform, the data improves. The matching improves. The overall experience becomes more coherent.
It also strengthens their position. They’re not just facilitating hiring – they are increasingly becoming the environment in which it happens.
Rethinking Pricing in a More Dynamic Market
On the commercial side, one of the biggest changes has been the move away from fixed pricing.
Instead of a single rate card, pricing is becoming dynamic. It’s adjusted based on role, location, and demand. It’s a model that looks far more like e-commerce than traditional job board sales.
This is particularly effective for smaller and mid-sized customers, where scale and accessibility matter more than bespoke sales relationships.
It also reflects a broader shift: as platforms become more sophisticated, pricing becomes part of the product, not just a commercial decision.
There was also a note of realism about what AI actually means for competition.
Yes, it enables new products. Yes, it increases efficiency. But it also lowers the barrier for others to do the same.
Features can be built faster – and copied faster.
That puts pressure on differentiation. It’s no longer enough to launch something new. The advantage comes from how well it’s integrated, how effectively it performs, and how consistently it delivers value.
Perhaps one of the more understated but important shifts is internal.
By embedding AI and automation across their systems, Pracuj.pl is aiming to scale output without scaling headcount. The focus isn’t on doing more with more people, but on doing more with the same or fewer.
It’s a model many businesses are moving towards, but one that requires significant investment in the right foundations.
What ties all of this together is how they think about the product itself.
This isn’t about adding isolated capabilities or chasing trends. It’s about building a system where everything works together; matching, pricing, distribution, user experience – all aligned around delivering better outcomes.
As they put it: “This is not a set of features. It’s one coherent experience.”
So the real shift isn’t about adding AI to a job board. It’s about rethinking the entire model. Thinking about how value is created, how users are served, and how the business operates underneath it all. Because in the end, the fundamentals haven’t gone away.
You still have to build something that works. And you still have to make money.
